White speckled stoneware cylinder hand thrown on the potter's wheel. The bisque then taken upstate New York to woodfire. This one-of-a-kind vase was dipped in a luster shino glaze with ash powder and fired in the anagama chamber of the kiln.
The speckled clay body subtly shows through the crackled glaze. Spots of melted ash from the smoke and flames are apparent added details. The iridescent finish may slightly vary with the light.
