White speckled stoneware handbuilt pinch pots. The bisque then taken upstate New York to woodfire.
Applied with a borate wash and an ash powder, the vessels were fired unglazed in the anagama chamber of the kiln.
The vessels are metallic from the firing with rust orange and green hues. Spots of melted ash from the smoke and flames are visible throughout. The color slightly varies dependent on the light.
