White speckled stoneware cylinder hand thrown on the potter's wheel. The bisque then taken upstate New York to woodfire.

Applied with a borate wash and ash powder, the vase was fired unglazed in the anagama chamber of the kiln. 

The vase is metallic from the fire with rust orange and green hues. Spots of melted ash from the smoke and flames are visible throughout. The color slightly varies dependent on the light.
